The original garden was a spring garden with iris, peonies, and Lamb’s Ears. After renovation it has more summer and autumn flowering plants, though it retains an iris strip down most of its length.

This garden has an extensive collection of Salvias, including  Salvia guaranitica “Van Remsen”, “Phyllis Fancy”, Salvia greggi cultivars, “Indigo Spires”, and “Wendy’s Wish”.

Here is Salvia darcyi in the back garden. This was a cutting from a plant I bought in June from Plant Delights. It is only beginning to bloom now, and peak should be in the next few weeks.
